A Word from the Mayor of Paris
Paris, a city of peace and freedom, knows how much cinema, a universal art rich in diversity, is a powerful vector of dialogue and mutual knowledge.
It is the whole strength of the film week "Middle East: What Can Cinema Do" to carry that message of fraternity, by fostering exchanges between the artists, the cultures, and the planetary citizens we all are.
I am happy and proud that the City of Paris is supporting this essential initiative, conveying tolerance and peace.
All my best wishes for a successful new edition, and I warmly thank its organizers and participants for presenting such useful and rich moments of hope.
