The film presents the destruction of Iraq's natural environment as trees are felled for coal. The film also reflects on the Iraqi economy and people's reasons for cutting trees – to escape poverty.

biography

Hussein Mohsen was born in the province of Babel and studied cinema at Babel University. He went on to participate in a filmmaking workshop focusing on the subject of Human Rights (2010), organized by the German Human Rights Institute in cooperation with the Goethe Institute and Independent Film and Television College (Baghdad). In the course of this workshop, he made this first documentary film.
