Inside a beat up stadium in Kirkuk, Iraq, lives many refugees trying to escape Sadam Hussein's administration. Asu lives with his younger brother who has lost his legs from a landmine. Next door lives Hilin, who has not been able to express her feelings. biography

Shawkat Amin Korki was born in 1973 in Zakho in Iraqi Kurdistan. He was forced by Iraqi militia to flee to Iran where he stayed until 1999. He has worked in theatre, TV & cinema in both Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan. Crossing the Dust was his first feature film.
